Sample stability for congenital cytomegalovirus assay using Alethia after prolonged storage at different temperatures

چکیده
Congenital cytomegalovirus (cCMV) infection is a leading non-genetic cause of sensorineural hearing. Alethia CMV assay proved to be accurate, simple and appears suitable for testing using neonatal saliva. However, long storage swab samples not validated across different time periods temperature. This study verifies the effects temperature in detection from saliva molecular developed by Alethia.

Stability of serum ferritin measured by immunoturbidimetric assay after storage at -80°C for several years
BACKGROUND Iron deficiency (ID) may impair long-term neurological development when it occurs in young infants. In cohort studies, it is sometimes necessary to evaluate ID with sera kept frozen for several years. To assess ID, learned societies recommend measuring serum ferritin (SF) level combined with C-reactive protein level. The long-term stability of C-reactive protein in frozen samples is ...
متن کاملDegradation of almond pellicle color coordinates at different storage temperatures
The pellicle or seed coat of almond kernels is subject to darkening during long-term storage and may affect the marketability of the stored product. Environmental conditions during storage and genetic factors both affect the extent of darkening during the storage period. The degree of pellicle color change of five distinct almond accessions was examined during long-term storage at 2, 22 and 32 ...
متن کاملStability of tranexamic acid after 12-week storage at temperatures from -20°c to 50°c.
BACKGROUND Tranexamic acid (TXA) is an antifibrinolytic agent that reduces blood loss during surgery, decreases mortality in civilian and military trauma populations, was adopted for prehospital use by the British military, and is now issued to U.S. Special Operations Forces for use on the battlefield. OBJECTIVE This study tested whether storage of TXA ampoules at four temperatures (-20°C, 4°...
متن کاملSpectrophotometric Study of Stability Constants of Metal Complexes of Promethazine at Different Temperatures
The complexation reactions between Cu2+, Pd2+ and Ni2+ metal ions with promethazine (PM) in water or DMF were studied by the spectrophotometric methods at [(15, 25,35 and 45±0.1) °C]. The complexation process was optimized in terms of pH, temperature and contact time. The stoichiometry of the complex was found to be 1:1 (metal ion/ligand). The formation constants of the resulting complexes were...
متن کاملBenzodiazepine stability in postmortem samples stored at different temperatures.
Benzodiazepine (lorazepam, estazolam, chlordiazepoxide, and ketazolam) stability was studied in postmortem blood, bile, and vitreous humor stored at different temperatures over six months. The influence of NaF, in blood and bile samples, was also investigated. A solid-phase extraction technique was used on all the studied samples, and benzodiazepine quantification was performed by high-performa...
